Book launch and other cool stuff

Pencil that date into your diary. If you have a diary. And a pencil.

That’s the date I’m releasing FOUL.

And here is its cover.

Getting closer to launch, more and more people are asking me what it’s about and what else it’s like.

I don’t know about you but I don’t like spoilers. I like maybe a one-line premise or for to know what else it’s like.

Hopefully the cover gives you a flavour. Some tone.

I’ve asked the friends and professionals that have helped me polish the book before its release, “What else is this like? Who would like this?”

Here are some of the answers I’ve had:

• The Damned Utd/The Damned United (they tweaked the title between the book and the movie)

• Rush

• Million Dollar Baby

• The Wrestler

• The documentary shows All or Nothing and The Last Dance

I’m inclined to agree that if you liked those, you may like what I’ve written.

Aside from giving you a taste of what’s to come from the book itself, it’s also worth mentioning that I’ll be interviewing some fellow sports book authors in the week before my launch. More on the whos and whens of that closer to the time.
